art gone awry

this post is

dedicated to art,
or rather,
"art".
creativity that has, in my opinion,
gone horribly wrong

i'll start on a lighter note.
first:

it is just not OK.

secondly:
there is an artist that i did a whole study on
my junior year of college, Anselm Keiffer.
he's disturbing
his art is just very dark and
its a lot of giant paper
stacked up that he's used his own...
well, i'll just call it bodily fluid,
in the process of creating it.
and i can admit that yes,
it does take creativity to put together
and ideas and making a product.
however, there is such a thing
as taking it too far, ya know?

and that leads me to my third:
Guillermo Vargas.
he's an "artist" in honduras
that i've been reading about.
he takes stray dogs,
and ties them up in a museum
and lets them starve
while the public watches and passes by.
and people are calling it "genius".

I call it
the depravity of our world.

Random, but good to know

so there's this website:
http://www.howmanyfiveyearoldscouldyoutakeinafight.com/

you should check it out.
it's silly,

but it's funny.
it's good to know,
if in dire circumstances,
if i really had to,
i could take 26 five-year-olds in a fight.

i'll post something
relevant later.

but i will say it again.

i love things that are old timey!!!
i just do.

and on that note:
i saw the movie
"Leatherheads"
tonight.
and it is so good!
i would absolutely
recommend it!

and p.s.
i'm totally bringin back
the red lipstick look
(ok probably not, but I still think it's enchanting )

april!

April is here,

so hard to believe!
but i am so excited.
april is one of my favorite months.
because with april also comes
the main street arts festival,
denton arts and jazz festival,
irving spring fling art festival,
and southlake art in the square!
if there's one thing i love
its a good festival!
especially one celebrating around the arts!
i look forward to this every year!
