wow

the time is flying!

i've already been engaged

a week and a half!

i am SO excited!

in other news...

well,

there really isn't

much news.

(i took this last week

in las colinas)

lots of little things

that bring me joy:

i washed and waxed my car,

it's shiny new looking.

i am currently ravishing

an iced sweet tea

which i haven't had in 2 months.

delicious.

i heard fall out boy and

john mayer together cover

beat it

by michael jackson.

and it is awesome.

and of course Rob's speaking tonight.

now, i may be a little biased

but, he is amazing

don't you agree? ;)

goin to the chapel...

well I'm sure you've heard the news by now, 

its spreading at lightening speed!

but just incase you haven't,

I'M ENGAGED!!

thats right!

i'm getting married to my best friend

and i'm so excited about it!

i was so shocked, 

the best surprise i've ever had!

it's a great story i'd be happy to tell 

you sometime, but for now

i'll just say:

Rob is the best thing that ever 

happened to me,

and i couldn't ever imagine

being happier than i am right now

with him.

The Ides of March

it's my birthday today.

March 15th,

i'm 22. 

that sounds so weird.

22.

i mean i know if i say 

"i'm old" to someone older than me,

they say "o no you're not! i'm way older than you!"

but to me, its old!

i mean, i've never been 22 before!

it's strange.

i just remember being a little girl

and thinking, "when i'm 22, 

i'll be married and get to

 wear lipstick, and high heels,

and drive a car, and write checks,

 be a sophisticated grown up.

now here it is.

and you know,

i'm not disappointed.  :)

while i am not exactly all

of things i thought i 

would've by now when i was six,

i'm pretty ok with who i am

and what i am.

i love my life,

im so blessed,

and i'm very very happy.

happy birthday to me!

a foggy day in london town

ok so i'm not in london...

but it certainly was foggy!

i woke up to a glorious haze 

covering everything.

and it all looked so fresh, 

like the world was waking up 

with me.

it was such a gorgeous day.

i've been waiting for this weather!

i love when the days start to

get long again. 

there's just something about

rolling all your windows down,

listening to great new music you've

just discovered, drinking a slushy, 

and wearing pink ladybug socks.

even if no one else knows, 

it still makes me happy, like i have

a lovely ladybug secret all to myself.

i spent the afternoon

in search of good locations

for photo shoots.

and I found several very cool places.

(there is a barn that is over

100 years old, 

not one mile from my church!

who knew?!)

so now i have a whole list of 

great spots to suggest to clients.

i've got a day of bridal portraits

and two year old Kenli

ahead of me.

i love my job :) 

Run the rock!!

i'm going to run the 

White Rock Marathon 

this year!

i have always wanted to run one,

but i never have really

even considered it because 

of my knee problems.

however, life is short, 

and i've decided to do 

all the things i've always

wanted to do, despite my 

valid or invalid excuses. 

Carpe Diem and all that..

it's another part of my attempt

to make me a healthier person..

i'm delving into the vegetarian world,

giving up soft drinks and sweet tea, 

so i figured i'd add in some

hard core exercise to top it off.

so i have my training guide/schedule,

new running shoes,

and lots of tylenol...  ;)
